Now I am one of those people that wear their watch constantly and have to be able to keep up with the time just to stay on schedule. Now I know what you are thinking. We have so many different gadgets now that surely a watch battery going dead will not send me into panic state and throw my whole day off. But guess what…It has happened more times than I can count. I love these new gadgets but I am from the pre cell phone era and will always rely on a quick wrist flick to check the time instead of searching through my over sized handbag for one of those gadgets. Now I have to fit in my schedule time to stop by a jeweler to have the battery replaced and then my mouth falls open when I find out how much having a tiny little object replaced costs.

“ATOMIC” Any Casio atomic watch is designed to receive radio signals from Fort Collins, Colorado multiple times per night. This allows the watch to keep accurate time down to the very second. This feature, however, is the only downfall I have ever heard from customers. When setting up your watch the first time you might have to be a little patience. The signal for these watches comes from Colorado and can take a bit to receive, especially if it is a cloudy day or weather issues. But once you receive the signal it is smooth sailing from there.

My all time favorite feature of the Casio Atomic G-Shock GW300a-2v and GW330a-9v watches: Ok, this may seem silly to other people but I absolutely love this feature. If you are in the dark all you have to do is lift the watch and turn your arm to look at the time and the watches backlight will turn on for a few seconds. This motion activation is really handy if you are like me and wear your watch to bed, run at dark or just find yourself in the dark often.

These Casio Atomic G-Shock watches are especially popular among military officers, police officers, construction workers or anyone else that needs a watch that they can count on. There are many stories of military officers using these watches while they are stationed in Iraq.

I searched all the top authorized Seiko sites to find the best price on these Seiko watches.

The only visible difference in these models is the date window. If you take a look closer however you will see that a cool new feature of the SKX173 is the auto-winding mechanism meaning you will never have to buy a battery for this watch.
